WDAV Celebrates Black History Month
February 2014

William Grant Still 540
"It is becoming increasingly difficult to decide where jazz starts or where it stops, where Tin Pan Alley begins and jazz ends, or even where the borderline lies between between classical music and jazz. I feel there is no boundary line." - Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington

WDAV celebrates Black History Month throughout February with special programming that honors the African and African-American heritage in classical music. Each day, we'll play a selection from a prominent African American composer or musician.
