Helene Lazartigues, a professional flutist from France, will present a concert in the wonderful acoustics of Belmont Abbey Basilica, Belmont NC. Selections include works by J.S. Bach and C.P.E. Bach, and Telemann, the “World premiere” of a work by J.R. Combes-Damiens and the haunting and enchanting Syrinx by Claude Debussy. Admission is free. Donations will be glady accepted. Additional information: Belmont Abbey is located at Exit 26 on I-85 in Belmont. Lazartigues interprets a complete repertoire from the baroque to the contemporary pieces. She offers a creative journey through time evolution of flute’s musical language. She shares her artistic activity through concerts, education and music publishing. Her curiosity and desire to share has taken her to Canada, Cuba, and Australia.
