Michael Unger will present works by J.S. Bach and more on the Noack organ, Opus 87, an instrument built in the North German Baroque style and tuned in a variant of Kirnberger III. Among his many accomplishments, Michael Unger is the first prize winner and audience prize of the 2008 American Guild of Organists' NYACOP and the first prize winner of the 2008, 6th International Organ Competition, Musashino-Tokyo, Japan. A published composer and a performer who has recordings out on the Pro Organo and Naxos labels, he recently completed his DMA at the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY. The concert is free and open to the public.
