Violinist Bin Huang and pianist Yin Zheng perform the four violin sonatas that Mozart composed during his time in Mannheim, Germany, 1777-1778. One of the most outstanding violinists from China, Bin Huang has won numerous international competitions, including the Paganini and Munich violin competitions. She began her studies at the conservatory in Beijing and completed them in the U.S. at the Peabody Institute and the Eastman School of Music, where she eared her DMA. She performs througout the world. Pianist Yin Zheng began lessons in Shanghai, later studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and the Eastman School of Music, where she also completed her DMA, studying with Nelita True. She won first prizes in both the 28th Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition and the Empire State Piano Competition and maintains a vibrant international performing career. The duo will perform a second concert, featuring Mozart's Viennese violin sonatas, on February 17.
