Whether you're a seasoned Tuesday Trivia pro or a first-time player, you're in the right spot to test your classical chops! Each week, we bring together five classical trivia questions ranging from common knowledge to the obscure (and no matter how you score, the chance to learn something new makes everyone a winner).

RULES: Tuesday Trivia is open to everyone, but prizes will only be awarded to residents of the United States. To qualify, responses must be received by 12 p.m. (Noon) on the Thursday after each week’s Tuesday Trivia is released. A winner will be randomly selected from the pool of participants who score the highest for that week.

This time signature with two half-note beats per measure (2/2) is played like common time (4/4), except with the beat lengths doubled.

“Spectacular Spectacular,” a number from the jukebox musical film ________, interprets Jaques’ Offenbach’s “Galop Infernal” in a lively song and dance.

This 16th century composer is rumored to have been kidnapped three times as a child due to their unusually beautiful singing voice.

________ was the first African American composer to have his works published as sheet music.

True or false: It takes over 70 pieces of wood to build a modern violin.

BONUS: In the 1957 Warner Brothers cartoon, "What's Opera, Doc?", Elmer Fudd chases Bugs Bunny to several operas by this Romantic composer.
