WDAV proudly presents Impromptu (1991), the next in our new Reel Music film series. Grab your popcorn and join fellow film and classical fans for a showing on the big screen at the Independent Picture House in Charlotte.

Set in 1830’s France, rebellious French novelist George Sand and frail Polish composer Frédéric Chopin pursue a bold and complex relationship.

Reel Music Film Series FAQs:  

Can seats be reserved or is the event general admission?
Reel Music events are general admission. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Reel Music screenings take place in the 145 seat theatre at the Independent Picture House. Seats are set back from the screen so moviegoers in the front row won’t be left craning their necks.

Is the theatre ADA accessible?
Yes! There are no steps and there is plenty of space in the theater for those with special needs.

Are concessions (candy, soda, popcorn, etc.) available on site?
Yes! Independent Picture House has a wide range of concessions from which to choose, including beer and wine.

Can I skip the post-film discussion?
Yes! Attendees who do not want to stay for the discussion following the film will be given the opportunity to leave.
