About WDAV
WDAV 89.9 Classical Public Radio, a service of Davidson College licensed to the Trustees of Davidson College, is a donor-supported public radio station offering 24/7 classical music and cultural programming.
As Charlotte’s only classical music station, WDAV serves as many as 100,000 listeners weekly across a 22-county area and worldwide through its app and online streams. In an evolving radio landscape, WDAV remains one of the few stations nationwide committed to 24/7 local programming. Beyond WDAV’s role as a music service, we are a platform that routinely promotes the activities of local arts organizations and artists of all disciplines, amplifying the presence of the arts in the region we serve.
WDAV’s professional team of local hosts and producers create over 150 hours per week of community-focused content, inspiring creativity, relaxation, and connection while fulfilling our core mission: enriching lives and building community through inclusive and diverse classical music experiences and excellent, accessible content.
